Terms and Conditions
One-time Purchase VS Subscription
Any one- time purchase made will only deliver you once and will not be charged again unless you as a customer go to the website and order again.
Once you have selected the subscription option, you will be committed to the MINIMUM of 2 WEEKS of subscription. That’s the commitment you as a customer will be making to get the discounted rate.
Subscription Cancellation & Refund Policy
When you have selected the subscription option, you will be committed to the MINIMUM of 2 WEEKS of subscription. That’s the commitment you as a customer will be making to get the discounted rate.
There will be NO CANCELLATION OR REFUNDS for Subscriptions till after the 2nd payment and the delivery is made. At that point you as a customer can choose to cancel any time prior to the 3rd payment is collected. You can cancel by logging into your account or via email to firstname.lastname@example.org but this has to be done before Tuesday 11:59pm to ensure you DO NOT get delivery the following Sunday.
(No other means of communication other than an email to email@example.com will be accepted as a notification to cancel as we like to have everything on record.)
SPECIFIC DATES VS EVERY WEEK
When you purchase a product, you will receive your (first) order on a Sunday. The order that is made as a subscription order, will continue to occur EVERY WEEK provided the customer cancels prior to Tuesday 11:59pm to ensure you DO NOT get delivery the following Sunday.
CHARGES / PAYMENTS
Regardless of which subscription option you choose, you will be charged for the order at the cut off time before the delivery. With respect to when charges go through:
Deliveries that are scheduled for Sunday and you will be charged by 11:59pm on Tuesday before your Sunday delivery.
For Example: If you order Clean Meals on a Friday afternoon, you will be charged right away and your order will be delivered the following Sunday.
After the payment is processed there will be NO CANCELATIONS OR REFUNDS for that payment. You the customer can cancel prior to Tuesday 11:59pm to ensure you DO NOT get delivery the following Sunday.
COUPONS AND DISCOUNTS
Clean Meals reserves the right to alter, change, or cancel a discount or coupon at any time, without notice. If a change to a recurring coupon will affect future billings, we will make all reasonable attempts to let you know of the change prior to the applicable order charge.
If a discount is provided based on specific order criteria (ex: 5% off for $50 recurring orders), and the criteria are not met (ex: recurring orders are canceled after the first order), Clean Meals will charge the discounted amount to the customer account retroactively.
CANCELLATIONS – VERY IMPORTANT
If you would like to change or cancel a future order, you must make that change in your account, or demonstrate some intent towards doing so, before the cut off time for that order. This requires the customer to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If an individual wish to cancel an upcoming order, but does not make any attempt to either
- update their account to cancel/change the order, or
- contact Clean Meals’ customer service email (email@example.com),
before the cut off times specified above, they will be charged in full for their order, and they WILL NOT BE ISSUED A REFUND.
Why do we do this? Basically, we use the best ingredients in our food, and we need time to order and prepare your meals so we can deliver your food to you. When you cancel after the cut off time you leave us with food that we cannot sell. WE HATE THROWING FOOD OUT. Please don’t make us do it.
For Example:If you have a delivery for Sunday, you can change or cancel that order, no questions asked, right up until Tuesday 11:59pm immediately before that Sunday delivery. You can log into your account and change it, or email us, and we will consider any of those actions as intent to change your order. After Wednesday at 12:00 am, however, once you are charged, and your order will be processed there will be no cancelation or refunds.
In extenuating circumstances, Clean Meals may issue a refund, but also reserves the right to levy a 5% processing fee against the refund total. This is a processing fee that makes up for the fact that payment gateways and credit card companies take a cut of every single transaction that takes place on a website-based business like Clean Meals – even if it’s us sending you money.
Gift cards are not available yet but they are coming soon.
Gift cards are non-refundable, under any circumstances.
Gift cards only have value towards purchases on cleanmeals.ca
Your food delivery is made by Food Kangaroo on behalf of Clean Meals. Food Kangaroo and Clean Meals takes all reasonable action to ensure safe food handling and timely delivery provided for regular deliveries and also suitable controlled environment for meals. Each delivery is an insulated bag/box with sufficient ice packs to ensure food refrigeration till 2 hours from the time it is delivered on Sunday provided its 10 degree temperature or less outside between 9am-9pm. Once a package has arrived at its intended location and has been left with either the concierge or at the door, Clean Meals holds no further liability for the safety of the package or its contents.
Clients may choose to provide delivery drivers with access/lock box codes, keys, or other means of entry into their private residence or delivery location at their own risk. Clean Meals will help to facilitate any such request, but does not solicit or promote such actions, and is not responsible for loss or damages that may be incurred as a result of this personal choice.
Our drivers deliver starting at 6am on delivery days. Any deliveries made before 9am, our drivers do not ring the door bell nor do they call the customer. We only text you to notify you once that your food has been dropped off at your door. Please collect it as soon as possible.
The delivery notification is sent via firstname.lastname@example.org by Sunday morning before 8am.
All LONG WEEKEND deliveries are made on Sundays as well unless the customer requests a different delivery day which is subject of a minimum charge of $25 to maximum charge of $200 provided the location of the delivery. Please email email@example.com prior to the cut off with your request for a different delivery day.
The downside of ordering our food, there may be times where some produce may not be seasonally available in the quantities that we need. This may occasionally result in substitutions in the meals.
ALLERGIES and NUTRITIONAL PREFERENCES
Clean Meals have the ingredients listed on the website in order to maintain transparency about what we put in our food.
However, Clean Meals CANNOT GUARANTEE against cross contamination of allergens in the kitchen. Our kitchen is not a nut, dairy, or gluten free facility, and those who have anaphylactic allergies to the aforementioned items (dairy, gluten, and peanuts/tree nuts) use Clean Meals products AT THEIR OWN RISK. Even in situations where we use products that do not contain gluten some ingredients themselves may have been prepared in facilities that cannot guarantee against cross-contamination.
Lastly, the Vegan menu represents a product that was not made with any animal products.
Macro and Micro-Nutritional Information
Clean Meals Inc. uses the most highly regarded sources available, in the standard serving sizes of our meals, in order to determine the nutritional information posted on the website. These nutritional breakdowns are not meant to be scientifically accurate. Rather, this information is meant to be a general guide to the contents of the meal, and can vary based on small changes in serving size, or the proportion of ingredients used (for dishes that contain a mix of ingredients). Clean Meals Inc. is not responsible for ensuring that the nutritional information is identical for every meal served, and by agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you, the client, agree to use this information generally for your own purposes.
As we are always looking for new ingredients and better sources, in the off-chance that a meal’s macro-nutritional information does not match that provided on either the individual macro labels, or on the website (meaning, if there is a disagreement between the macro-nutritional information provided in one section of the website, and the information provided elsewhere), please notify the Clean Meals staff immediately and it will be corrected.
