SPECIFIC DATES VS EVERY WEEK
When you purchase a product, you will receive your (first) order on a Sunday. An order that is selected as “Specific Date” will occur once, on that date specified by you. An order that is made as a subscription order, will continue to occur EVERY WEEK on a Wednesday at 12:01 am.
When you select our subscription for a product that contains other products that delivery each week. However, the meals will change each week as our menu changes every week, you will need to give us notification via email if you need anything different than what’s on the menu exactly which meals you would like delivered each time, unless you would like the default (which is generally 5 menu items multiplied by frequency you ordered).
For Example: If you order the Clean Health, 10 meals per, you will continue to receive 2 of each menu items each Sunday morning until you cancel your deliveries. If you do not give us specific menu modifications for which meals you would like to receive, you will receive the defaulted meals
NOTE: If you would like to change or cancel your subscription you have to do so before Tuesday 6:00 pm before your Sunday delivery.
CHARGES / PAYMENTS
Regardless of which frequency and subscription option you choose, you will be charged for the order at the cutoff time before the delivery. With respect to when charges go through:
Deliveries that are scheduled for Sunday will be charged the previous Wednesday at 12:01 am.
For Example: If you order Clean Vegan 10 meals per week on a Sunday afternoon, you will be charged on the Wednesday at 12:01 am and your order will be delivered the following Sunday, you will not be charged until Wednesday at 12:01 am.
COUPONS AND DISCOUNTS
Clean Meals reserves the right to alter, change, or cancel a discount or coupon at any time, without notice. If a change to a recurring coupon will affect future billings, we will make all reasonable attempts to let you know of the change prior to the applicable order charge.
If a discount is provided based on specific order criteria (ex: 5% off for $50 recurring orders), and the criteria are not met (ex: recurring orders are canceled after the first order), Clean Meals will charge the discounted amount to the customer account retroactively.
CANCELLATIONS – VERY IMPORTANT
If you would like to change or cancel a future order, you must make that change in your account, or demonstrate some intent towards doing so, before the cutoff time for that orde. This includes calling Clean Meals customer service line (647 937 5326), or sending an email to email@example.com
If an individual wishes to cancel an upcoming order, but does not make any attempt to either
- update their account to cancel/change the order,
- call the Clean Meals’ customer service line (647 937 5326), or
- contact Clean Meals’ customer service email (firstname.lastname@example.org),
before the cutoff times specified above, they will be charged in full for their order, and they WILL NOT BE ISSUED A REFUND.
Why do we do this?
Basically, we use the best ingredients in our food, we don’t freeze anything, and we need time to order and prepare our protein and produce so we can deliver your food to you, fresh. When you cancel after the cutoff time you leave us with food that we cannot sell. WE HATE THROWING FOOD OUT. Please don’t make us do it.
If you have a delivery for Sunday evening, you can change or cancel that order, no questions asked, right up until 12:01 am on the Wednesday immediately before that Sunday’s delivery. You can log into your account and change it, call or email us, and we will consider any of those actions as intent to change your order. After Wednesday at 12:01 am, however, you will be charged, and your order will be processed.
In extenuating circumstances, Clean Meals may issue a refund, but also reserves the right to levy a 5% processing fee against the refund total. This is not an administrative fee – we are not getting this 5%. This is a processing fee that makes up for the fact that payment gateways and credit card companies take a cut of every single transaction that takes place on a website-based business like Clean Meals – even if it’s us sending you money. If it’s our fault, obviously you’re not getting charged that 5%; but if you’re liable for the food you ordered, and we’re making an exception by giving you a refund, we will charge you a 5% fee for refunding.
If you have an order in your cart at the cutoff time, and your payment method is declined, we will deliver that order to you as per our normal operating procedures, and you will be responsible for paying for that order. A notice will be sent to you immediately, notifying you of the declined transaction, and you will have until the following delivery cutoff cycle (3-4 days), to contact us with new payment options. If you do not respond to us in that period, your account will be suspended, and you will receive 3 more notifications over a 2-3 week period, before your account will be handed to a collections agency, who will pursue you for your outstanding balance.
Why do we do this?
We want to make sure that if you have an order lined up with us, and for some reason your card fails, that you don’t lose your order as well. We deliver food and people count on food in their day-to-day lives. So, any chance we can take to make sure that you get the benefit of the doubt, we’ll take it if it means you get to eat well. Unfortunately, this means that there will be individuals who try to take advantage of this service, and we will utilize all of our powers to ensure that you pay for any order that we prepare and deliver to your door.

Gift Cards are non-refundable, under any circumstances.
FOODS / DELIVERIES
Clean Meals takes all reasonable action to ensure safe food handling and timely delivery within the allotted times provided for regular deliveries. Once a package has arrived at its intended location and has been left with either the concierge or at the door, Clean Meals holds no further liability for the safety of the package or its contents.
Clients may choose to provide delivery drivers with access/lockbox codes, keys, or other means of entry into their private residence or delivery location at their own risk. Clean Meals will help to facilitate any such request, but does not solicit or promote such actions, and is not responsible for loss or damages that may be incurred as a result of this personal choice.
The downside of ordering our food fresh means there may be times where some produce may not be seasonally available in the quantities that we need. This may occasionally result in substituting one vegetable or grain side for another. The protein portion of the meal will always remain the same, however.
ALLERGIES and NUTRITIONAL PREFERENCES
Clean Meals posts the ingredients lists in order to maintain transparency about what we put in our food.
However, Clean Meals CANNOT GUARANTEE against cross contamination of allergens in the kitchen. Our kitchen is not a nut, dairy, or gluten free facility, and those who have anaphylactic allergies to the aforementioned items (dairy, gluten, and peanuts/tree nuts) use Clean Meals products AT THEIR OWN RISK. Even in situations where we use products that do not contain gluten some ingredients themselves may have been prepared in facilities that cannot guarantee against cross-contamination.
Lastly, the Vegan menu represents a product that was not made with any animal products.
Macro and Micro-Nutritional Information
Clean Meals Inc. uses the most highly regarded sources available, and the standard serving sizes of their meals, in order to determine the nutritional information in their Vegan and Omnivorous Meals, and their High-Protein Snacks. These nutritional breakdowns are not meant to be scientifically accurate. Rather, this information is meant to be a general guide to the contents of the meal, and can vary based on small changes in serving size, or the proportion of ingredients used (for dishes that contain a mix of ingredients). Clean Meals Inc. is not responsible for ensuring that the nutritional information is identical for every meal served, and by agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you, the client, agree to use this information generally for your own purposes.
As we are always looking for new ingredients and better sources, in the off-chance that a meal’s macro-nutritional information does not match that provided on either the individual macro labels, or on the website (meaning, if there is a disagreement between the macro-nutritional information provided in one section of the website, and the information provided elsewhere), please notify the Clean Meals staff immediately and it will be corrected.
